At
this time, I wanna tell you about the sixth president of The Republic of
Indonesia. He is Ir. Joko
Widodo or better known as Jokowi. Jokowi was elected be president in election 2014.
It’s means he has leads Indonesia more than two years. When the election of
president in 2014 ,with his deputy, Mr. Jusuf Kalla, They beat his opponent, Mr. Prabowo Subianto and
Mr. Hatta Rajasa. Before be president, Mr. Jokowi is a governor of DKI Jakarta.
Because of his good performance and his leadhership style while he is still as
governor of DKI Jakarta, made a name of Jokowi be famous, so many parties
wanted to Mr. Jokowi to follow the presidential elections. Because many people
who supported him, finally Mr.Jokowi was elected to be a president.
As
a president, Mr. Jokowi has a distinctive leadership style. He was known as a friendly leader, humorous, determined, humble,
and get to earth. He often visits the traditional market to monitor prices of
basic necessities, visits the citizen’s home, listens their complaints, and
every visits the region, he always buy local product. This leadership style
that made many people very love Mr. Jokowi. The citizens of Indonesia hope Mr.
Jokowi can built their country to be a great country.
In
his reign, Mr. Jokowi urged to provide the fairest justice to the corruptor who
have manipulated public money. Jokowi also clever in choosing ministers in his
cabinet. For example, the minister of marine, Susi Pudjiastuti. She was only
graduated from junior high school, but she knows about the sea. The ships that
would steal the fishes in Indonesian waters would be drowned or bombed. This
makes the thief feel so afraid to steal the fishes in Indonesia.
Additionally, Jokowi is a good diplomator. With the ability supported by the
tourism minister, he could withdraw the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdul
Aziz with the princes came to Indonesia for a vacation and invested in
Indonesia. There is a good example that we can learn from Mr. Jokowi alrea.
When The King of Salman bin Abdul Aziz visited to Indonesia, Mr. Jokowi not
ashamed to cover the head Of King Salman with umbrella when it rained. This is one example Mr. Jokowi
when greet the guest who visited his home, Indonesia.
Apart
from the his achievement, Mr. Jokowi is a figure of the president who well-known
exist in social media. Just look at the vlog of Mr. Jokowi who likes to published
his activities with his son, Kaesang, like cut the hair, jogging, and most
recently he made a video together with the goat newborn. Everything that wear
by Jokowi always be trending topic in twitter like #jaketjokowi #payungjokowi
#sarungjokowi.
Now, Jokowi’s
name is discussing again in social media because Jokowi has a new way to
approach the people by giving a quiz. When meet the people, on the sidelines of
a speech he will give a quiz to people about Indonesia and for somebody who
could answer the quiz, Jokowi will give the bike as award. A famous singer,
Raisa, was one of the lucky people who got a bike from Mr. Jokowi because she
can answered the Jokowi’s question.
